    Default CX Mirrors

Does anyone have any advice on how to take these mirrors apart. I think the electric movement has become detached from the back of the mirror.

Heat the glass with a hair drier, there should be double sided tape behind them that lets go when hot... There is a grub screw under the plastic cap on the door if you wish to unscrew them (from memory).

This is what you would find inside the earlier rectangular items (taken a few years ago) ....

They may or may not be the same inside your mirror housing. Sometimes, you will find the mirror glass is glued to a plastic back that is retained by a lock ring of sorts that can be locked or released by rotating it with a thin rod inserted through a hole in the bottom of the housing. See if you can determine how it;s retained and maybe look for pictures of the mirror in bits. Perhaps, the front cover comes off to reveal the mechanism as it does on later models?
