    Default Xantia regulator Question!

ok weeping regulator on xantia, I see it coming from pressure release valve, am I hallucinating?

Want to change the seal on valve but do it at the seal shop in the parking area!

ie drop the suspension, remove valve bolt and prise out o ring take it into the shop and say I want one this size, go back out and put it in and drive off.

Having never messed with a regulator I suspect the ball might want to pop out so keeping an eye out for that.

Am I going to start a torrent of LHM?

Does this sound like a bad idea? !

    Brains trust advice required.

    Cheers
    Steven

It will leak, so get the seal first and change it later. A weep is better than a torrent. Also, you risk losing the ball in the carpark, which then means a tow. The size is common to other applications, but should be:
    4026 82 HYDRAULIC OIL O-RING SEAL DIAM 6 x T1.9, which I think I noted from the BX listing.
It will have different numbers, but is the same part for earlier models.
I don't think it's broken down further than the regulator unit for Xantia and XM.
Also, the o-ring is on the screw/bolt, not inside the hole.
