    Default DS :Grey Windscreen Sealant

I've been trawling the net, to no avail, trying to source a GREY windscreen sealant for the DS. Can any one steer me to a supplier, please? Thanks

Don't know if it is grey, but I have heard that the best material available is a mastic supplied by Wurth. It is a trade only product distributor but most auto industry professionals can order it in.

Sika made most of their sealants and silicons in both black an grey.

So you certain get a Sikaflex urethane in grey.

I thought the OP may be referring to one of the non-curing sealants like the butyl mastic type.

Sikalastomer 511 is a butyl mastic in off-white, the only other butyl mastic Sika do is black.

Hey Inspector, I hope you are aware that the windscreen on a DS does not require any sealant? It's a dry seal, and is so well designed that you are not supposed to put any mastic or anything else in the rubber. My DS had a new screen when I bought it, and it was the original dry seal, grey, no mastic or anything like it, and it never leaked a drop. So don't waste your time and money looking for something you don't need. It's a simple and standard rope in to fit the seal back into the frame apeture , with no mastic.
    Cheers..

The only sealant a DS windscreen needs is the mastic type material that seals along the bottom of the screen. The Wurth one is best but don't use a silicon.

The rubber seal only goes across the top of the screen and down the pillars.
