Default Blue Velour Fabric - where to buy?

Would anyone know where to get BLUE VELOUR fabric to upholster my DSuper interior? Or does anyone have any upholsterer contacts who Might be able to supply it?

Apparently it is not available any more (in mid blue at least). Happy to even import if need be... And yes: I know I can buy full seat and door card kits, but my door cards are in good shape, and at 600 euro for four... Not cheap...

Below a photo of what blue I would be after - any mid blue would be ok.

I can recommend Daleys as a possible candidate, they have lots of odd stuff there and offer friendly service.

    You know,
it would be interesting if anyone knew of a way to pass a picture to a textile printer that could actually reproduce the same colour(s).
I have a slightly torn driver's seat on a 21 Pallas with "granate" upholstery. It's striped (half of it). Dark and light.
No one reproduces it (I've asked far and wide).
There are textile printers who will print anything on almost any material. Reasonably cheap.
The problem seems to be... the above.

    Sven,

Further to Graham's reply, check out Lee Brothers Albion
Car Upholstery | Albion | Lee Brothers Australia

In days long past Lee Brothers were the approved supplier to Maxim Motors for all Citroen/Peugeot/SAAB upholstery. Always very busy, so you may be waiting a good while, that is if they can source the blue you are looking for.

    Cheers

Thanks guys. Daleys are one of the suppliers to Archerfield trimmers, the guys I want to use. He still has samples, but they are older, so after chasing, they don't exist any more.
Will ring Lee Brothers, if they were the suppliers to maxim I might be in with a chance.
An alternative I am starting to warm to is the Warwick range of suedes... Nice colours and suede is quite classy and sturdy. Not as slippery as velour and a bit stiffer, but pretty neat...

Just an idea if you come up goose egg: try Dr Danche (nuancierds.fr). He was reproducing the earlier spotted helanca, he may have a lead on what you specifically want.

    Hi Sven,

    I would try Car interior

I'm pretty sure they sell the fabric, which they source from a supplier in Poland. They do sets too, but to be sure, they can send you a sample.

You could maybe also try an upholsterer/trimmer who does marine work. The late Greg of Seyville Trimmers sourced the red fabric for my car from a marine supply place.

Hi Sven, there was a guy at the Melbourne Citroen concours on the weekend who has a freshly painted DS (dspecial with 21 injected engine) in blue Danube with a new blue velour interior which he bought for $500 (new pre-made covers). His name was Ian I think. I did mean to get his details for you Sven but you know how it is yeah. Sorry. But maybe he is watching.
