    So, money is no object.
Which Citroen would you have, and, if you like ... why?

A third front Chapron decap, full fat and loaded with Robri kit. Basically, the most valuable one ever made.

Then I'd sell it and buy a non-CitroŽn I really wanted.

    The one I got.
'72 21 Pallas, Blanc Meije, grey roof, granate upholstery. (Granate dash, but irrelevant) Manual shift, carburetor. Rome plates (worth half as much as the rest to me).
Couldn't possibly think of a better one.
Only one thing I didn't like, the steering wheel. Easy fix, I put a '71 one in.
    Perfect.

[EDIT] And really, has anyone ever seen a black-taped wheel without even a minimal gap in the tape? 'cause I haven't, but I got one, used, from France, €150.

I'd like a Traction Light 15 in fully restored condition.
    I'm half way there.
I know SFA about cars, but I've wanted a "Maigrait Car" since I was about 10 yrs old (60+ yrs ago!!)

Tough call, but a DS23 5 speed injection Prestige. Not sure about the driving position with the partition though, being 6ft5 that could be an issue. Failing that a 67 DS21 with hydraulic gearbox in burgundy and tabac leather.

    Cheers,
    Ed

If money were no object, I would just buy them all. But let's start with a GS 1220 Club wagon. Maybe kick it up a notch and slide in the later 1300/5 speed. Throw in a period Philips 917 stereo. I've always maintained that the GS was the perfect blend of DS and A Series. Well, that and I don't fit well in a B2.

CX Prestige Turbo 2. CX Basis has one for sale and the price has recently dropped to 29,500 euro. It is a manual and I would prefer the automatic, I think there were 4 made.

    G'day,
I think I would like the 1970 DS sedan with a five speed column shift and a V6 engine, as advertised by Shannon, even though there is only 4 leads coming from the distributor.
p.s. they still haven't answered my email about what sort of engine it is.
    regards,
    Les W.

I have no idea of what I would have.

What I have owned in the past (memory willing):
    66 ID, 69 ID, DS21H, DSpecial, DS23 Pallas, CX2200, CX2400 + 5 speed, GS1100 + GS1220's,
    C5 2002, 2004, (petrol + HDI). Today: Xantia Activa, C5 2005 HDI.
    Not to omit Renaults 4 + 16TS.

And the usual Citroen frustrations notwithstanding, all have been cars I've enjoyed, some more than others, but a lot depends on what they were doing at the time .. touring v/s city, being repaired ... etc.

The frustration today is "where dya drive it?"

These days (in Sydney) a manual is just too hard. Air con is mandatory.
    And so it goes.

I'd probably have to something that has bits of all of the above.

That Prestige looks like it could be this, seen at their stand at Citromobile last year, though the driver's seat colour has changed:If you could choose one.-image.jpgIf you could choose one.-image.jpgIf you could choose one.-image.jpgIf you could choose one.-image.jpgIf you could choose one.-image.jpg

    G'day,
does this have a 4 or 5 speed box? Both are mentioned in the specs. The owner seems a little confused.

    I would have
1 - a 1956 DS19 (BVH) in champagne with black roof and green helenca fabric interior.
2 - a 1966 DS21 manual safari in cedar green with an caramel jersey cloth interior
    3 - a 1968 DS21 pallas BVH in black with black leather
4 - a 1975 DS23 injection safari BVH in vert argent with a dark green roof etc. This would have very dark green (almost black) leather interior and plush green carpet like a pallas, bespoke airconditioning fully integrated into the bespoke african rosewood dash, electric windows and SM hubcaps.
5 - a 1975 DS30 coupe (my design, if you saw it you would want it) in pale metalic blue black roof and natural leather with a porsche 3.0 litre four cylinder turbo engine lurking under the hood and a five speed column shift, also with the AC and SM hubcaps.
6 - CX 2400 pallas Cmatic (injection) in black with black leather
7 - CX 2500 pallas auto in dark red with sand cloth
8 - CX 2500 turbo 2 prestige auto in silver with black leather
9 - SM 2.7 injection 5 speed in very dark blue with tan leather interior
10 - SM 3.0 auto in sable metalise (like mine) with tabac leather
(Note: all cars will be restored to better than new condition with quality paint, leather and fabric as close to the original look as possible)
There may be a couple more I can add but that will do for now.
    thankyou

That is why I would have it. Looks like it has had a good restoration just like what I have now.

No one rule for any 'if I could' is buy one that has been restored properly by someone else
