Default Left Blower stopped working D Special 74

Is there already a thread on this? If not, I've done the percussive maintenance thing suggested by Bauke and Lance (Collins - Well met Lance good luck in Targa and hope you're the first Citroen home!!!) but the smacks haven't helped. It's getting power, but I'm unsure of the method of its stopping. One day it was working and the next it wasn't. I don't know if it failed while working or just turned off never to re-start. I'd like this one working to de-mist the windscreen...

    Thanks in advance

There are a couple of different suppliers. One type has a quite open motor casing that can just become dust filled which stops any movement of the brushes...that is why a smack will sometimes help. These things are easy to remove and inspect...failing its complete demise a good clean and maybe new brushes might do the trick. Easiest to remove the whole heater assembly and pull apart on a bench.

As I thought, I might try with a blast of compressed air in the general direction of the fan.
