I dont think those are regular marchal points, I believe you have electronic points convention

They look like the Marchal cassette point set. I've not seen them on a D series but they were often found on the GS with Marchal distributors.
If it were mine, I would search out at least a transistor conversion to prevent wear on the points, or a full electronic replacement with a 123 distributor & never have to reset & retime the ignition again.

Jon, they are standard cassette points. I had a DSuper with them when I in NZ in the 1990s. They work fine, just drop in and you can adjust them (with an Allen key from if my memory is right) from outside the distributor. Ask around the usual suspects, they ought to be available. No need to replace the distributor.

i have learned they are called ' cartridge' points... i put a photo on.... my cartridge is snapped off internally - deep inside the cartridge there is a small fibre board that locates the spring to move the points with the shaft cam... it has broken right through on the rivet so there is zero spark going thru. Bauke the wizard was here today and has swapped the entire Marchal distributor for a Ducellier off a DS23EFI that i had in my junk pile... it has at least got the car running although the condenser and the ballast resistor are both shot too !!! but i would like to get it back to original eventually..... have located the correct cartridge in uk and failing any local supply will get them sent. car is running but rough.... plenty to do before it can get back on the road. cheers, jon

My D special has the cartridge
I obtained a spare from the UK
    Not that costly about $30
I used to run transistor triggered ignitions years ago.
for an occasional car they are basically a waste of time
