The DS range is overpriced here too, and sells very slowly. A C5 is a much better buy, and they are killing it off. The present importer of Citroens has severely reduced the range.

Oui Jujule, on a les DS3, 4 et 5 mais tres cher pour ce que c'est. La plupart des Citroenistes ici en Australie sont tres attaches a l'hydropneumatique qui est helas en voie de disparition.

    Clio RS 220 is auto
208 GTi I cannot see the speedo
This appears to solve those issues and looks great.

The new DS3 won't be here until the second half of the year (some time...) and there's apparently been no decision on whether the Performance model will make it here.

Hopefully, this means the hamstrung local range will gain an auto version (missing now for some time) and a Performance version.

P.S. I can't think of a single seat height or steering wheel height combination that prevents me from seeing the speedo in a 208 GTi.

    Simon

Well said. Do we really need more performance hatches these days. Everybody is doing it, Citroen needs to be different, the Cactus may be a small step in the right direction but I am waiting for the Tesla model 3. A good chance it will be a stunner.

    Hmm.
You can get a real DS in top condition for less than that...

Citroën isn't building performance hatches though, Greg

I can't really see the speedo well in the 208 either. Easily overcome by setting the digital speedo On The dash centre for me. Looks like we might have it going to a new a new home this weekend

the speedo and the seat height is THE problem of the 208.... a bit less in the new 308 but it's the same problem......

    Non.

We also have some Australians who live in or have lived in France, and some other French speakers and readers.

I sat in a P208 at a dealers to see what the speedo thing is about. It was alright for me. I suppose it depends on the your sitting height from your bottom up.

The seat height is a problem if you don't adjust it - likewise the steering wheel. As both are adjustable, it's not a problem.

Still, when you have car reviewers complaining of the indicator and wiper stalks being hidden behind the steering wheel on the new C4 but at the same time profess no problem with the gearbox changing paddles, you have to wonder about people.

That enthusiastic C4 review was as I feel. They are a great car to get about in, and good looking enough to get comments. As for the stalks, they are bog standard Peugeot-Citroen, just as we all know and love. The "leather" steering wheel cladding will be as familiar.
