Default DS Extternal mirrors repair kit

Anyone remembers where to get the external mirrors repair kit for the DS?
To repair the grey plastic surround that holds mirror in place.
It was discussed here a few times, but SEARCH function doesn't return anything.
Checked the usual suspects (Der Fransoze, etc,,,) but can't find it

Mirror Surround Trim (select type) - Retrospec Parts

Just need to make a selection of your mirror type from the drop down menu.

The measure of your character isn't what you do when people are watching- it's what you do when they aren't watching.

Harrisson, I've a bit of correspondence with Daras Rich of Retrospecparts if you're interested. It is not as easy as it looks. It's some time since I refurbished mine but I do recall that it can be a frustrating exercise if you don't get the fundamentals right! PM me if you would like to mitigate the possible frustration of getting the strip between the mirror and ss body.

    Regards,

    John

I found the 'trick' is in getting the exterior metal frame edges to allow the rubber to fit, this is where all the tinkering happens, pair of pliers to ease the frame in or out to suit, takes a while and you just have to go quietly with it. Like think you're not going to bowl this over first go. Try 15 times...

Agreed. It is a fiddly task and minor adjustments of the metal mirror frame may be required. Eventually the new rubber and mirror will just sort of fall/suck into place. You can barely see where the ends of the rubber meet once it's all together. Years after I did mine they still look great.
