Default Change of carb on D, what other parts different

    Hi All,
the engine going into my D Special is from a later model D Special, and has the Weber carby rather than the Solex. The throttle shaft is located differently on the two carbys, and the mounting bracket on the firewall is different for each - see pic

Weber on left, Solex on right.
    Has anyone done this swap?
Is the rod coming up from the throttle linkage different? Is the shaft with x attachment to the carb different?

mnm (Matthew) has done similar but replacing single throat solex with twin, quite a few parts required in that swap that I feel you'll need in yours. . .
    DS Solex twin throat..

    "Déesse" Roland Barthes, 'Mythologies', 1957

The Déesse has all the characteristics of one of those objects fallen from another universe that fed the mania for novelty in the eighteenth century and a similar mania expressed by modern science fiction: the Déesse is first and foremost the new Nautilus.
