Default Which One Would You Choose?

On the back cover of the NSW CCC magazine, The Chevrons, March 2016, there are two advertisements from Continental Cars:

Price: $38,990 Car: 2016 Citroen C4 Cactus wagon Kilometres: 10

Price: $38,990 Car: 2009 Citroen C6 HDI Sedan Kilometres: 81,586

Very much a case of you pays your money (the same in each case) and you makes your choice. Each car is very obviously a Citroen, no other manufacturer would make either car.

Crazy pricing on the Cactus, which accurately describes the marketing philosophy.

Destined to have lot of old friends or very little demand for the product.

Just Sime Darby pricing again, designed to wipe out the brand here. First the new C4, now the Cactus.

I'm thinking a considerable added cost is the insurer who underwrites the 6 year warranty.

Likely Allianz, who have a French car mechanic and expert (mainly Peugeot) as a key employee in the Commercial Insurance department. (and AFer)

Would it not be cheaper to buy a car in the UK and ship it yourself!?

IMHO ....Sime Darby beat their predecessors hands down!!!
There are less expensive Cactus in the mid $ 20K.....just don't have as many goodies on board!!

It very rarely works out, because of the several import restrictions. New cars particularly. https://infrastructure.gov.au/vehicles/imports/

    Sime Darby beat their predecessors
Ateco sold lower spec and manual models at sensible prices as well as Exclusives. SD seem to have stopped Citroen competing with Peugeot by reducing the range and pricing them up.
