Default Citroen Xantia 1.9 litre Turbo Diesel 1997 Brake Pads

    Hi Gang

I've been trying to track down some quality brake pads for my Xantia. I looked at the Bendix website and they list DB2013 for the rear. As for the front they list DB2014, DB1922 and DB2012. Can anyone clarify which one I should be looking at? Also should I be looking at another brand?

    Hi Jase,
I know nutthing about it but I looked up the site and it lists the 3 different pads because it shows 3 different sized front discs for the various models.
eg 266, 283, and 288mm diameter. You might have to measure them or even look at the pads fitted now and compare the numbers or to a diagram on the site.
Someone else may be more helpful.

    Hi jaahn

Thanks for getting back to me. I was hoping to avoid taking the wheel off until I need to change the pad. Bad back. At this stage it looks like I'll be ordering a set of genuine.

    Cheers

    Hi Gang

I bit the bullet and bought some genuine Citroen pads from Alan Mance ($143 front/$95 rear).

Phew. Still, they might last a while unless you give it a real caning. If you get only 14,300 km the pads are 1 cent per km. If you get 30,000 km, they are 0.5c/km.

For what it is worth Bendix CT pads work really well and are dustless.
