    Default UFO Takes the cake

Last night I celebrated a significant birthday with a few friends. Mrs UFO organised a local expert to make a special cake for the celebration. Here are some pics. For a sense of scale the black base it is sitting on is about 50 cm long. The baker made the cake after a quick look at the car and we provided a 1:43 model. At first glance I thought she had the wipers wrong, but on the provided model the wipers are as per the cake.

The internal "mechanicals" were a delicious caramel butter cake.

The cake looked so good it was almost impossible to cut it. Knowing the bonnet is the most expensive part I went in through it.

    Thanks Mrs UFO!

No sadly. It was the one thing we didn't think to ask for. However caramel flavour and green food dye may not have worked too well together.

The cake and the filling however were very smooth.

Soft sponge base of course with 2 pack icing externally. Worth all the effort from here.

Lovely way to celebrate, Craig. Many Returns!

Looking at the number plate, I thought maybe you were in your late hundreds, but later replies confirmed only early!
Many happy years to come Craig.

Nice cake Craig and very thoughtful of Deb to organise. Happy Birthday, the cake looks a little like the VGD prototypes CitroŽn DS prototypes the birth of the goddess of about 1946 which would make you 70.....did Graham know this too??

    p.s. we know you're not 70
