Found some on Micks Garrage site. Both rubber and thermoplastic. Dealer part is $76.25. Micks is $20.00 for rubber or 26.00 for thermoplastic. About $20.00 freight.
Anyone had dealings with them? Are the thermoplastic ones better, I think they can be fitted over the joint using a cone shaped device.

The dealer ones are thermoplastic. They seem to be tougher than the rubber ones to start with I think they soften up after 5 years or so just like the steering boots on BXs and Xantias. I think the rubber ones would be easier to fit with a cone as they are more pliable. As I posted earlier, the only way to replace these boots is to take the triax joint of the inner end of the driveshaft then slide the inner boot off before fitting the new out boot.

    Cheers,

They are similar to a P407. What's wrong with a stretch boot, a cone, much muscle and some appropriate swear words to do the magic?

I'm way to old for that now - it would take me a week to recover from the fight. I know, it took me that long to recover from taking out the first C5 X7 driveshaft. Brawn does not beat disassembly and reassembly time these days.

    Cheers, Ken W
