Default Citroen Xsara boot lock sticking?

    Citroen Xsara boot lock sticking?

I have had the lock apart and it's better but still doesn't close nicely, got to bang it.
    Adjusted the striker plate .

    How does the release work?
Is there a transponder you have to change if you replace the lock?

Anyone got a good lock for sale?
    Otherwise a great car .

With these cars, usually the striker bar hits the back of the lock trigger slot then pushes it past the mid point until it snaps back into the locked position trapping the striker bar. The unlock mechanism reverses the process so the striker bar moves back into the unlocked position releasing the striker bar. There are often bits of plastic around to make it all happen with nicer feel and sound. If they break off and dissappear, then it will go out of adjustment. Maybe you need to set the striker bar a bit higher so it latches more easily.

Done all that. Adjusting the striker plate.

When you get the lock apart it's very ordinary inside.
I was a bit pressed for time when i had it apart but might have another go and spend more time cleaning it.
    That might improve the operation.
