If it is the same Woody I have a spare one from a 3rd nose.

I'd probably have one .... But they are painted metal, not aluminium as they are from '63 aussie built ID19's.

Just to be annoying, I went through the parts books and found this:

    Volume 562, July 1969, 66-69 DS
    Upper support for spare wheel
    DX 622-97 to 9/67
    DX 622-97a from 9/67

I don't know what the difference is (no pics of this piece) but apparently there is a difference. I would measure the space across where yours should go and compare it with a 3rd nose part for a start. Shane's piece might be your best immediate solution. Carefully study David's link for further clues.

Do you know what nose it came from (2nd or 3rd)? Worth looking at, at the very least.

It came from an early South African car , with the enclosed turning high beam lights , the car also had the RHS battery mount.

Ok- so a '68 or '69 third nose. Can you snap a pic or two, maybe we can compare it with what DavidS posted?

It seems from the above that what I want is similar to a 3rd nose but a little longer,so I could make one from 2 later items or get in touch with Shane.
