The car between Innes Ireland and Roy Salvadore looks like it is on three wheels

This is the photo that caused Citroen to say "we need something like that Kinetic suspension they make down in Australia" - only that was about 20 years later! But that is a classic photo, thanks.

Its funny how a CX with anti-roll bars can look like a 2CV (which doesn't have them) if you push them hard enough.

By little old ladies on their way to church, I am sure.
The measure of your character isn't what you do when people are watching- it's what you do when they aren't watching.

And all in white because their air cons either weren't up to Dubai's heat or more likely removed for performance.

What a shame such nice vehicles were given away to be abused in such a way....but imagine one of the Dubai CXs today. The entire interior would be a blob of foam, melted rubber and cardboard.
I was in Dubai about this time last year. Not a single Citroen to be seen other than a lone 2CV in an upmarket dealers showroom close to the new rail line. So as a marketing ploy it didn't work either.
An abundance of very upmarket Landcruisers though.

No. I think it was during a church service. You can hear a lot of the drivers yelling "Jesus Christ! That was close".

Yes, you could have warned people about the band playing bagpipes! :-)

Rampant understeer was the order of the day - what were they thinking? The CX GTI has a thicker rear anti roller than the other models too. Mind you, a 2CV would have been resting on it's door handles if it could have managed the cornering speeds of a CX ;-)
