Default Sad loss on NSW South Coast

On Wednesday 2 September a sudden and devastating fire destroyed a business in Milton on the NSW south coast that many may know of. It was established and still owned by Barry Solomon and his family nearly 40 years ago, and to the Citroen community, especially Traction fans, it was a little "Mecca".

Barry is a great bloke - he was always willing to help and have a chat about anything automotive and especially Citroens. He had a gorgeous Light 15 and some classic motorbikes and other classic cars - until Wednesday night. Sadly he had also had a fairly severe stroke early this year and is now wheelchair dependent. Some of his family were running the business for him.

I was very shocked and saddened when I saw the news. All that could be seen of his lovely Traction was a mangled and burnt shell buried under frame and sheeting from the garage roof.

I have to drive through Milton for work this week. Not looking forward to the scene.

That's terrible. Bad enough if your health were good. I can barely begin to understand how you'd feel.
