    An interesting link....

I thought it was more complicated that that.... it seems that it can just be swapped over with a new decal.

I wonder if you can buy the decal...?

There are some other interesting links on rebuilding things by "DSSMPASSION CITROEN" - well worth a look around.

    Cheers,

Decals will set you back $2.00 postage, resetting the speedo at the same time, priceless!

I did this to my blue car about nine years. No decal though.

As a gauge it's only indicative of course, but then so is the original.
    Cheers,
    Michael

Talking about fuel gauges, I removed the sender from the tank of the ID19 to inspect it, and found that the internal flexible earth wire had been fractured over time and now had jagged ends that contacted each other when it bounced around in the tank. I repaired and replaced it, but it could have easily produced a spark inside the tank.
Therefore, maybe if you have a gauge that is intermittent, it may be worthwhile to check out the sender internal earth wire.
