Icon5 Citroen C3 sun visors loose

I get the feeling the aussiefrogs forum is mainly focused on older and classic vehicles, so I feel a bit of a nob posting about my 2007 Citroen C3 Exclusive. But here goes: I bought it a few weeks ago for my mrs, and she loves it. I enjoy driving it too, great little car. The sun visors on both sides don't sit up in the 'groove' above the driver's and passenger's heads - they kind of hang down a few cms. They don't obstruct vision - it's just a tad annoying. Anyone know what I can do to sort it? Do I need to look for a couple of second-hand visors? Any guidance appreciated.

    Hi Mike,

Welcome to Aussiefrogs. I don't have and have never had a C3 but I do have a Haynes C3 manual. I will have a look in it tonight (during the Origin Match) and see if there is any info in that. Have you been able to observe other C3s of similar vintage and what their visors are up or down to?

    Cheers,

    Ken W

    Mike,

I checked the Haynes Manual and no mention of sunvisors. PM me your VIN and I will try to find some part numbers for you.

    Cheers,

My partner's 2006 C3 has droopy sun visors; as you describe, they sit a couple of centimetres too low. Not sure if this is a problem, or a "feature".

Ha ha good point FedGrapes - only the French would have the Gaul (!) to make it a 'feature'!

They come as a pair. Common problem.

Might give this a bash before buying new ones:

BTW (unrelated) - some tossbag reversed into our C3 at the weekend and dented the C (?) pillar and smashed the light assembly. I couldn't even imagine what one would cost from Citroen so I picked one up off Gumtree yesterday for $50 - good as new and ready for when we get the dent fixed.
