    Default oil presure switch DS23

The oil is leaking from the switch (not the seal).

Do I need a genuine part or is an off the shelf unit from a parts supplier ok?

I believe the thread is an odd size and pitch, Roger Parker in Adelaide or DS Motors in Brisbane will have these as a stock item - having started to leak no more driving until replaced, they let go in a big way.

Is it supposed to have a seal/washer?

Seal doesn't show in the parts manual, it's been too long since I replaced mine, Roger or Lance will know for sure. . .

    Hi Adrian,

Copper or alloy washer in the box with the sender. Chris is spot on, don't even start the car until it's replaced. The first you'll know of the engine running without oil is the big ends knocking...
    Cheers,
