Default C3 missing from Citroen Australia website?

    Hi,

It looks like the C3 might no longer be available for sale in Australia. It is missing from the corporate site? Does anyone know anything about this?

    Thanks,

And why was the previous model so popular then. There can be only one reason, it looked different, unusual, quirky. The current one is too much like everything else.

Come on Citroen, being different obviously works down here. Lets try decent suspension as a first step.

Under the new distributor, looking different to a Pug is probably fatal. I liked the original C3 and C4 and in restrospect the early C5.

Once they took the angular kink out of the chevrons and started to slowly straighten them, it has become hard to pick a Citroen.

The previous model was also good value compared to the other Euros. Remember back when the base model 3 Dr Polo was $19,800 without aircon, plus on roads? Or the 2004 Clio for $19,990 plus on roads. They've all come down considerably. Both Clio and Polo are $15,990 drive away for entry models that are far better equipped than back then. 3 cyl 1.2 C3 was $4k dearer than both those, with a less powerful engine and no clear equipment lead to justify the premium.

Early ones are cracking value now, just like 307s, C4s, and 206 models. $500 when the wind blows in your favour; unlikely to find that with equivalent VAG kit.

The current C3 is actually quite a nice little car. The main problem was it carried a C4 price tag, so why bother? They'd prefer you in a DS3. Sime Darby also keeps Australian small Cits low powered compared to Peugeot - it's hard to believe they want to sell Cits at all.

If only they would bring in the 1.6 HDi with 6 speed manual in the DS3. Cracking drive.

My 2014 C3 Exclusive is a great car. The transmission is much better also.
