    Default CX rubbish

Old relays and fuses are gone.

See before and after pictures. The auto electrician gave me a reasonable quote before the work. Upon completion and pleased with how it looked and everything worked, I told the electrician I'd be showing everyone the good work to which he responded "Tell them its double the cost." (because it took him double the time he expected). My thoughts were if it was only double then he did well. Unlike others a. he quoted a set price and b. he honoured that price. Thats a first!
There was also some other tidy up work completed but not in the photos.

That would have to be neater than when it left the factory. The wiring in a CX was a dogs breakfast from day one!
I have tidied mine up to the best standard that I could achieve!
Even Shane commented on the neatness compared with the original!

Two white connector blocks are visible!
The first seems to have a green relay a la DS plugged into it? If the relay is removed what stops working????? That approach might answer your question!
The second with wires coming from both sides houses the old fashioned glass tube fuses!!

I had mine tidied a little around the battery on the Prestige many years ago, as at the time it was sharing a battery with another car and I got tired of getting tangled. Problem was when I then had to start using another mechanic a few years later they had to draw up their own wiring diagram for the car, as it wasn't OE.

Just had mine completely re-wired under the bonnet as original but without bits hanging all over the battry everything works and looks neat. When I bought it from original owner an auto electrician had put extra relays all over the place,a real dogs breakfast and he had no idea what he was doing according to my auto-electrician, Andy.

That's really nice work and thanks for the photos.

Just thinking about mine gives me a headache. Previous owner did some rewiring, no drawings.... So far (ten years) pretty well everything works.
