Default DS Replacement Air Filter element

    Hi all,
I have heard that there is an air filter element that fits nicely into the DS.
Can anyone advise what model Nissan I should be looking for?
    Thanks,
    Rob

I don't know where I gathered this, but I found this in my info file:

"Air Filter FC3164 Nissan fits DS"

But sorry, I can not tell you which Nissan

From memory an aussiefrogger did source a bundle and passed some of them on. I got a couple and from memory again all that was required was to 'plug' the holes.

It was Bauke (his user name) I just sourced one from him and he has some left. I will send him a message.

    Rob,

The filter in question was for the Nissan Pulsar cars (1989-1990) model years. Here is a link to a Fram filter to show you what it looks like. Have used them for years and one hell of a lot easier to change out this paper element than cleaning the steel mesh job the cars came with. Not sure but think the Pulsar name was also used in NZ and Australia.

As you will see from the photo the only thing you have to do is plug the two holes in the central plastic support. The rubber sealing ring for the original steel unit fits fairly well around the Nissan filter element.
