Default Split in Starter solenoid housing

The old Iskra one I noticed has a split right around the housing and sometimes it was not engaging or starting

I have a new one on now ,

Can the old one be fixed ?

Normally, no. The problem is there is a lot of mechanical force being slammed into that housing every time the starter is engaged.

You can try to with some sort of super-strength epoxy. What model starter are we looking at? What car?
The measure of your character isn't what you do when people are watching- it's what you do when they aren't watching.
