Icon7 Must be the YEAR OF THE CITROEN DS!!!

Not only is is the 60th anniversary of our beloved D but seems the rest of the World is finally catching up on what will become one of the most sought after retro classics...

Jay Leno does a feature on his DS in "Jay Leno's Garage" - look it up on You tube if you haven't already.

Then I download all these fantastic files on the D from iExtranet in celebration of the 60th anniversary.

....then I replace all my panels and trumpets after replacing the rear window and putting in new seals plus respraying the boot - the car is looking delicious....

Then, the icing on the cake.... I do a random search on YouTube and come across a video (less than a week old on Shannons TV, where local Aussie Motoring enthusiasts are raving about this wonderful car instead of the usual bloated over-chromed American barges. Well it made my night.
Follow this link CitroŽn DS - Shannons Club TV - Episode 23 - Shannons Club
and look for Bob King of CCCV at around 7.30. I owe him for his expertise, generosity and passion for the DS.

It is really the YEAR OF THE CITROEN DS!

So great to see this. And my old ID got a good workout in the background as well!

    Thanks for posting.

Was a bit taken aback to see a picture of a '63 Heidelberg ID I owned (briefly) at 5:45 min. It was originally from Albury, and had previously belonged to a well known Melbourne silk and an equally well known radio presenter (ahem). The photo was taken when David Cavanagh dragged it out of a shed near, I think, Kyneton on my behalf. I had some work done on it but, alas, it had rust that was beyond my budget /skills or David's patience, and so I passed it on. Would love to know where it is now.

I liked the "conventional logic did not apply to such an unconventional vehicle" line.

Ask the Bathurst locals who cringe every time it's mispronounced.

The organisation for 2005 was years in the planning and execution. From what I have been told from a source who is there in the midst of it, planning for 2015 was left WAAAAAY too late.
