    Default XM cabin filter?

    Hi,

    This is a 2000 V6 model.

Does this car have a cabin filter and, if so, where is it located

    thanks

No, they don't normally. You might be able to retrofit a 605 filter tray.

Addo's idea looks good, as the air intake in the scuttle is the same size and shape for a 605 as for an XM - the 605 one just has the moulded tray for the pollen filter incorporated:

However disappointment quickly sets in when you actually look at the available space in the XM scuttle:

There's a very prominent stiffening bar right in the way! Not being an engineer, I have no idea why an XM would need this, while a 605 doesn't. Apart from that there didn't seem to be any reason why the 605 tray and filter wouldn't have fitted.

    Such is life .

    Cheers
