    Default Penrite MHP

    Hi everyone,
discussion on ATF fluids for ZF boxes have probably been done to death, but if will ask anyway as I haven't seen anything mention on Penrite MHP. Has anyone used this in their ZF box as it claims to be compatible for LT 71141. If this is the case it's probably a lot cheaper than fluids from Citroen dealers and looks to be available from large auto part outlets.
    Many thanks

Nothing wrong with using Penrite and everything to gain.
Don't be conned by the "Use only manufactures recommendation oil". It's all bull muffins, the dealers probably fill their Ltr bottles out the back from a drum marked "OIL" anyway.

"Also suitable for use in screw and vane type compressors"

Having experience in this field, this indicates the oil can withstand extremes of operating pressures, doesn't foam, maintains viscosity at high temperatures, doesn't cause any shellac build, and doesn't breakdown under severe molecular compression.

What more do you need?. Cheers Tony.

    I believe some use "710".

    Hi Tintin,
I have used Penrite fully synthetic ATF in my Citroen AL4 transmission and my VW auto transmission with no problems. This replaced the LT 71141 which was the original recommendation for both.
Actually it is a superior oil IMHO than that older specs oil and available at a popular supplier at a lot better price. Shop around because I was in another popular supplier this week and it was almost twice as dear there !!
    Cheers Jaahn
