    Default Fuel filter replacement

    Citmen' does anyone know how to remove the fuel filter cap after disconecting f uel lines etc on a 09c5x7? I can rotate the top 90:but will not lift out.Is there a clip somewhere to free it?Dealers are not worth a pinch of goatshit. upset Tomfrog

    You'll have the DW10B motor, I think, so you can watch it done at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7r_Z1dN104

    Not your car, but similar lid. It rotates, and because of the seal, is very tight.

    The 10C motor uses a screw down lid - much easier.

    Thanks. We know how you feel. I did one of those in the last fortnight for a car out of warranty. Put the car up and did the service, using one of the usual suppliers for the filters, for someone who afterwards wondered why the UYA dealer gets away with so much.

    Mind you, the Pacific Highway is now lined with marble and glass palaces that new car margins could never pay for, so someone else is. If it takes that to flog a car we are mugs aren't we?
