Default Where is post on door cards

I think Shane posted about materials for door cards and I can't find it. There were good replies.

Could someone point me in the right direction.

The discussion revolved around the uses of plastic types of materials opposed to materials such as MDF board. The MDF being the closest thing to the original material although the issues with absorption of water made it less suitable than the plastics.
I decided on the MDF because it is so easy to cut, glue against and staple into. Sealing it with a good 3 in 1 primer/undercoat and an exterior top coat would protect it from moisture.

4mm CD bracing ply from Bunnos works well too and is an exterior grade so handles water well.

Have you considered using a vinyl spray to match the colour of vinyl to the original?
People who restore dash tops can usually mix up some spray for you!
