    Default 2011 C4 Picasso

    hello all

We are happy owners of a 2011 C4 Picasso that currently has 85,000kms on it, about 15,000 of those with us and to be honest its been a very good rig so far. I have done a search and noticed the only issues we have had are commonish..that being

Dead Battery...completely flat...replaced under original warranty
Front passenger seat stuck - this is ongoing but its due for a service...the thing just wont retract and its all the way back which is a pain.

Otherwise all good, the gearbox isnt very smart and any change in or out of 1st is a bit harsh for my liking but to be fair if you need to flick a paddle its quick to respond.

My main reason for posting is because it seems my wife has hit a curb and put one rim out of round. I really dont want to use the space saver so I was wondering if anyone knew where I could source a new wheel (or two if I can put a full size rim where the space saver is).

Below is a pic with the same style wheels as we have.

    Thanks in advance.

I just got two new tyres too so buying a full set with tyres of another style is an option but not one I really want to go down. Although the new Picasso's twisty rims to look rather flash.

Should also mention I am in Brisbane so anything local would be preferred, ill breathe a bit breath and get a quote from Citroen aswell.

They look very like 17" C5 wheels, but where are the bolts?

    They are under the cap.

4 bolts (what the?? Im used to studs). If they are common with the C5 then atleast that means they might be more readily available.

I know the tyre size is 215/50/R17

if you are referring to this rim then the C5 is a 5 bolt/stud anyway.

How bent is the wheel? You might be able to get it rolled straight by a repairer.

good question, cant be that bad because the tyre guy wasnt to concerned about us driving around on it. Was on the front, now on the rear.

But Im not really interested in using the space saver while its under repair. If I source another I am hoping to throw the space saver in the bin if there is room to mount a full spare.

Did you get a quote from Bart Ebben?

Also try Midi Auto Lorient. Send a picture and the VIN for positive identification.

Bart Ebben is a large recycler of Citroen parts in the Netherlands, who sends stuff worldwide. You pinched one of his pictures for the C5 wheel, at bartebben.com. I dunno what the freight would be for quick delivery of a wheel.

Midi Auto Lorient is a part of a large dealer group in Brittany with a web-based overseas parts and accessories business.

Try ASV Europarts (they have a franchise in Brisbane I think.) otherwise Atwin spares in girraween Sydney might be able to help and possibly ship.

If you can survive without it for a few days, they can usually be repaired for say, less than $200 (which is a lot cheaper than a new wheel )

I've used two different places in Sydney and one was $150 and one was $140, from memory.

I don't know any wheel repairers in Brisbane, unfortunately.
    Regards,

    Simon
