    Default Early berlingo man oil in coolent

    This is my bro,s car 1.4 litre manuel has no sliding door on side ,he has just discovered oil in the radiator,dousnt appear to have an inter cooler behind oil filter ,could it be a head gasket problem ,it seems to be running just fine, any ideas pugs ps no coolent in oil

    Do the head gasket with bolts, use a Chinese set and add a better quality rocker cover gasket. A quick head skim if you're feeling wealthy or just use a gasket stripper. Try to separate the exhaust manifold from the head, rather than from the down pipe.

    DON'T whizz the deck with a Scotchbrite wheel. DO use a double coat of Blue Hylomar spray, applying the second coat once the first has tacked off.

    Replace the top hose and thermostat, the rubber parts of each will be damaged by the oil. You might want to fit a half decent new radiator cap or at least cut it a new hard rubber gasket.
