    Default GS Diveshafts.

Just removed the driveshafts from the GS Wagon to replace the boots, LHS driveshaft is physically narrower (diameter) , Is this normal? RHS approx. 24mm., LHS approx. 22mm. Would it be advisable to change LHS to a shaft the same Diameter as the RHS. 1220 motor. Mike.

Has someone mixed up 1015 and 1220 driveshafts?

To me it looks like it as car has had a lot of fiddling with, it is registered as a '74 but I believe it to be a '73. Engine has been changed at some point.

The larger shaft could be GSA? Does it scrape on the top suspension arm for big bumps?

If you do look for a new shaft, be-sure to count the number of splines as there are two different types.

Will be replacing the wheel hub assembly off of my GS spares car along with the driveshaft from that car so all should be good regarding spline numbers. No Andrew there is no scraping on the top suspension arm thank you for your input. was just a little suprised to see the difference.
