Default Regas or Replace spheres 03 c5

I'm guessing the spheres haven't been changed or touched since the car was purchased, around 100000kms ago.
How can I check if they need replacing or regassing?
Where can I purchase new ones or have them checked/regassed?
Is there a link to the procedure to regas if possible?

It would be cool if some type of tyre pressure monitoring system could be attached to any Citroen sphere?
Is your ride hard or are you just curious? The C5 spheres are meant to outlast previous versions. That's why they are more mushroomed shaped allowing less flex as they are broader plus a thicker (stronger) membrane.

    Hi garethb,
There are other threads on this topic if you search.

These saucer spheres are regarded as lasting for the life of the car Now where have we heard that before ??? However they seem to last OK. Perhaps getting a bit firmer from my experience in old age. If the ride is OK then they are OK.

They are not checkable or regassable easily and I do not know anyone who has geared up for them yet. The port has a solid rivet which would have to be drilled out and some valve fitted in its place. Not for the fainthearted or inexperienced to drill out under pressure ?? Must be time for someone to get into this.

New ones are available O/S at the usual suspects. Google is your guide here. Cost seems reasonable but however weight/freight is highish. Options of types, comfort etc are there too.

yeah, the ride in the last year has slowly become harder. Definitely not the way Mr Citroen envisioned it to be. I guess as long as it won't harm the struts or anything else if they don't have enough pressure then I can live with it.
I did read in a few other posts I searched that someone was regassing when CCCNSW did workshops? Maybe thats for the more classic cars...

Only the pre C5 spheres can be regassed by CCCNSW. I think it is similar in other clubs.

Google "myparts citroen spheres", I have just ordered a set for my C5, freight for all 4 was 30 euro to Canberra on top of the sphere cost. Haven't got them yet, so cannot comment on their serviceability.
