Default Finally getting new motor in

    Hi Everyone
Haven't done a post post in a while, thought I would show an update of the Coupe. Finally got the motor in and beginning to do all the hook ups.

I think your brother was up in Darwin couple of months back? Engineer on trawlers? Good to see your motor!

Its a DS21 IE motor with a DS23 Automatic block with the oil cooler. Its been balanced, lighten flywheel, modified cam and a modded intake manifold to put the 45mm weber on. I made an adapter on the block to take the oil cooler up front. Put a 5 speed box in too.
The truth is I was being a tight arse and used stuff that was lying around.

Excellent stuff! Watch out for the carb backfiring when you first start it up, as theres going to be quite a bit of fuel/air mix in the manifold. Many years ago I singed my eyebrows the first ever time I started my twin carb up, much to wife's amusement at the time

    Cheers
