    Default DS Air-conditioning

    Hi all,
Just FYI, I purchased new louvres through autofrost in Sydney.

All I had to do was slightly modify the opening with an oscillating tool and they clipped in neatly and they were $16.50 each, less than half price of the ones I could find in MelbourneDS Air-conditioning-image.jpg
You can see them in place here.

I can readily see from that pic you really are from Australia....

Can you put two, two pulley's together? I was chatting with a car a/c place on the Gold Coast that they used to have to have pulley's made to order in the early days at an engineer so it's not impossible, just costly

Not a bad idea, will check tomorrow that it does not protrude too far then.

True dat. A/C vent louvres tend to fall apart. The little tie-rods break, or the eeny-weeny pivot pins break away. Good thing Misterd found a set and has spread the word.

It appears you put them in upside down.

And only slightly related....perhaps about 6 degrees?
The other day I was at the powdercoaters and the owner's father was there.
Somehow we got talking cars and it turns out that in the dark ages he owned the business called Autoclima.
He would get all the citroens from the shipping docks and design/install the aircon for Duttons (Citroen dealers) in Melbourne.
He was exited that he had installed the aircon in my '75 DS EFI pallas about 40 years ago.
    Made his day.
    Cheers
    Bob
