    - Do they give a double wipe when you flick the stalk down?

If so, does it become problematic and want to randomly operate when you turn the car on or off sometimes?

Thanks; looks to be a 605 only part then.

Every time the 605 wipers are turned off they give a last, defiant wipe. Doesn't matter what setting you have used.

So when you push down to trigger a single wipe, it does the single wipe, then because it wants to show who's boss, it gives a "turning off" wipe. Even if you turn the ignition off after the first wipe, it will insist on finishing the sequence when switched back on.

Not having a problem with wipers running "randomly", but the blinker can will sometimes click furiously after the blinkers are cancelled. The son's Xantia wagon did this - turned out to be a worn blinker control arm. No doubt it will turn out to be same issue in the 605, as shifting the blinker arm slightly usually fixes it (until next time ). Might be worth a look at the wiper control arm? Might be some wear causing erratic behaviour...

    Cheers

    Alec
