    Default Alternate BX brake pads?!

Lately I've spotted a fair few brake catalogs listing these pads as fitting a BX:

Yet I've never seen any pads fit a BX other than these:

Has anyone ever tried these ZX pads in a BX caliper? They sure don't look like they'd fit.

There are very few ZX cits in Aust as they were never imported by dealers.

Ah. I see. They were probably also fitted to some 306s as well.

So I've tried a set of these pads in my BX's front calipers, and they fit fine. I'll just need to add a little grub screw or something to stop the caliper piston turning and I'm golden!

They're also the front pads from a 1.6 205 GTi.

BX pads are the same as a Pug 405,so any pads that fit a 405..........

Nope - BX front pads are the same shape as a lot of Peugeot rear pads, but no 405 front pad is the same as a BX front pad. It's the BX's front wheel handbrake you see...

Hugh - the 1.6 front brake piston unit bolts up directly to the 306/205 rear pad carrier. Not sure if that helps... But it's what I've got for my rear brakes on the 205.

We could look to see what other pad carriers yiu could try.

No worries - Ferodo make the 1.6 GTi pads in both DS2500 and DS3000 spec. They fit in the BX calipers perfectly, but just need the locating lug thing added.
