    Default timing belt.Hi citmen.

    Hi citmen.Having read on cit forum uk, replace timing belt on c5x7 09 at 100000miles or 10 years,why do we aussies persist with 100000ks and 4 years? Why is it so? regards Tomfrog

    That was from Ateco. After Sime Darby took over distributorship, for the same DW10CTED4 engine it changed:
    The recommended cambelt replacement intervals for the Australian market follow mileages and times for countries with arduous conditions.
    It's now HDI and petrol from MY 12: 180,000 km or 9 years (p 28 of the Vehicle Service guide)

    Yes, Peugeot Australia changed to the new intervals in approx 2005 - it seems odd that Ateco kept their 100k interval.
