    Default wooden citroens

I saw this in the age - drive a number of years ago and have always remembered it's fantasticness.

thought I should build something similar using an SM instead of a 2cv as the donor. This one weighs about 320 kgs so with 24hp that makes say 75hp per ton. The SM based one should be good for 400 -500 per ton.
Throw in a couple of air bags for security and you would have yourself a ripper, on land or sea.

That is a very beautifully shaped piece of woodwork! (And so was the De Havilland Mosquito!) It would just need an annual visit from the Rentokil white-ant people.....

I think both the vehicles have a veneer of respectability, regardless of their family trees. What do Yew think?

I'll get off my perch and branch out to suggest that this one is a two eyed version of the original 2CV prototype.

A dead heat for the ugliest cars invented.

this is an amazing creation. and amazingly like a sibling of the Costin-Nathan GT coupe,
a very successful racer circa 1967 designed by the great Frank Costin (of Marcos fame).

From memory there was a US dude who made a timber panelled convertible using a BMW motor but CX suspension bits. Maybe somebody else can recall more.
