    Default Headlights

The turning headlights on the C5 don't usually get noticed, but turning into a driveway tonight and following it's path I was about to pass a pedestrian when the driveway took a turn so my headlights turned too. The poor fellow must've seen the lights move in his direction because he leapt off the driveway and spun around ready for anything. Oops!

Do your car's sidelights illuminate as well at lower speeds?

Yep, they do. But I don't think they would've come on at that point. I still feel for the poor bloke...

Are the modern turning headlights on the low beam as well as high? Fantastic idea really; I wish it was more widely adopted!

There appears to be only one light on each side up front even though it looks like there are two each side. High beam just makes the single light appear brighter, so the turning action works on both low and high beam.

I hope he didn't lose too many years because of his encounter with the C5

My 207 has an extra set of lights at 45 deg that come on when I turn the wheel. It's great for lighting up the top of my street when I turn in. I was so used to it, it was a big disappointment when I got the DS3 (alive with technology?) as it has nothing.

I'm yet to be convinced the latest trend of lighting the fog light will have the same effect.
    Regards,

    Simon

You have to be impressed with the headlight leveling them selves upon restart. The computer reads the load capacity and readjusts the lights to the same constant height. Not quite the same as the D series cars but very effective smart technology !

I was very intrigued to discover this on my 2011 C5 Exclusive.
The two inner 'lights' are dummies.
Having discovered this bit of deception, I wonder: how does one actually verify that the lights do turn?
My previous C5 had small lights that came on when turning into a corner - does that still happen?
