Default Xsara Running rough and high idle in "Park" and "Neutral"

1998 2L petrol Xsara is idling high and rough when in Park and Neutral. RPM drops and rough running disappears when in Drive or Reverse.
Accelerating the engine runs smoothly but as soon as you back off the throttle it becomes rough with a noticeable steering wheel vibration...............Any thoughts?

Might be worth checking manifold vacuum, and also your coil times if you have a Lexia.

Not sure what a Lexia is?

Edit: Ahh a diagnostic instrument. This one on ebay for $96 says it is located in Australia. Has anyone bought from these people before? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AU-new-Di..._qi=RTM1714089

An update for anyone who may encounter the same issue in future. Ended up replacing the upper engine mount and gearbox engine mount. Vibration now completely gone.

Note that the vibration exacerbated the engine tone in park/neutral making it sound abnormal and this issue is also now gone.
