Default BX Break ....Perth to Nambucca Heads

Long shot I know but I'm really interested in JohnW's BX. Transporting it to Sydney by truck is around $1200 and by train around $1000. Not worth it to me to pay that sort of money. I can't get over there to drive it back at this point of time so.........I was wondering if some responsible person might be travelling from WA and would like to drive it back to NSW for me. He assures me it would do the trip easily. Would come to some sensible arrangement. Let me know soon. Bob

A quick crunch suggests realistic fuel bill of $650-$700. If your driver slept in the car and lived on Weet-Bix plus water, it might be economical.

If you don't want it soon I could do it at the end of Sept. - after I've picked up my CX from Manchester!

Thanks for the input and kind offers that I have received. I hadn't really sat down and did the maths on the total distance and fuel costs. I imagined I could get it over for about $5-600 but when reality set in, I know I am dreaming (probably about years ago).
I'll rethink the whole exercise and let things stand as they are for the time being.
Once again thanks for the kind offers. And to JohnW, I'll be in touch if I find a suitable solution. Bob

I don't know how you worked out the figures but Google says it is 4,130km between Perth and Nambucca. Then we have to assume fuel economy. I would expect 7l/100km assuming an injected BX. If it is a very late one probably better. Then based on my trip to the Flinders 95 octane should average just under $1.70/l. That comes to $486 for the trip. Then you can allow the driver a burger or steak sandwich every second night
