    Hi all

one of my high beam bulbs has shat itself. Should I replace with same, ie 45/40W bulb? Can you still get these?

    Thanks

Yes these are still available, in fact you can get Quartz Halogen ones with this base as found in old Peugeot and Renaults. Possibly available in your local Autobarn.

Thanks Richo... if I wanted the warm light of the old R2 bulb rather than the bright white halogen, do I need the tungsten bulb?

I hardly ever use my high beams so the brightness isn't really a priority.

With your current reflectors, I'd have the halogen.
Of course if it is lighting effects you desire, by all means go the tungsten.
