    Default Oil for the Duck

Thinking about it , its an air cooled motorcycle engine it

needs that type of oil ,

fortunately at work in a dark corner are 10 litres of SF oil ( you know with the zinc and phosphorus in )

I will use 2/3 SF and the rest 10/30 modern mineral

    Years ago I owned & drove a Honda 1300 Coupe 7.
Air cooled, 1300cc, 106bhp, with a dry sump & 80psi oil pressure. GTX was the preferred oil for the engine & the gearbox. With 5,000k changes on the engine oil.
Then again it was a whole quantum leap in engine engineering to the duck!

Sounds like a Motorcycle engine , needs the good lube as it aircooled , they work hard

Water temp ,,,watercooled 200F , oil temp can be 75 F higher than water temp , and in an aircooled setup , the oil temp will be higher still
