    Default Hi and Help !

    Hi guys,

I've accepted the challenge to finish restoring a DS21 EFI Pallas which was started by another restorer and left in pieces.

I got the car with no doors, roof or any panels, and it was sitting outside in a field exposed to weather conditions.

To begin with, I saw that the ignition switch was broken. Then the engine was seized which I was lucky to get unstuck, starter motor was seized, fuel pump was changed and was also seized, ignition distributor was stuck etc etc...

16 hours in, I managed to start the car, after repairing injectors and all the rest of the faults, and it runs smooth but wont lift.

This car had a gearbox issue, which I will need to address to as soon as I get the hydraulics working again.
For now, I found that the hydraulic container is empty and its leaking from the rear suspension spheres.

Right now, I'm gonna need all the help I can get, so please watch this space as I will drop in seeking for help from you experts quite often

    Cheers,

    Chris

Did it come with a free Jag bonnet too It'll probably pay to check that hull that''s had grass growing through it for rust before you invest a lot of time and money into it !

Are you still struggling with the ignition switch? If you are, it can be jumpered through the block connection on the back of it. This will at least get it so the car can be run on a "normal" basis until you get a replacement. There are two kinds of connection blocks: a round one which fits directly to the back of the switch, and a rectangular one which is a short lead permanently attached to the switch. If you need help, let me know by shouting here or by PM, and we'll go from there.

You may need to prime the hydraulic pump to get it so the hydraulics working.

Well the wheel that we can see looks nice and shiny, so that's a good start!

We look forward to hearing more as you progress - will you be able to get the panels locally? At least you are closer than us to France, Belgium etc. when it comes to getting parts!

    Cheers
