    Default Bells and whistles

Washed Kenny Wednesday so naturally it be bucketing wet stuff ever since. Always does, thinking of hiring him out to the moo cow men out west.
However on the way back from taking the cook shopping [why can't they ever drive themselves to the bloody shops] heard a single bell warning from somewhere. Never heard that before, dash readout static as normal, instruments ok, car still driving ok and blow me there it is again, one bell ring then nothing. Checked stuff, everything off, forget it, it's just a glitch. But it happened one more time before I got home, single bell ring then all quiet. Stupid car says she, bloody computers says me, probably chuckin' a hickey over gettin' wet. Parked it, Left it. Any more of that bell ringing stuff and I'll have to get religion.

That's what I was thinking, someone lost a phone under your seat, cant be anything else..
Every day when I wake up I reach up in the darkness with my eyes shut and if I cannot feel anything that resembles a wooden lid I know it will be a good day. No lid today.

Ask not for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee.

A loose connection or bad battery in the hearing aid can result in strange ringing too...just saying.

    Thanks Robmac.

I had no idea who originally created that line. I was a Hemingway fan and saw Gary Cooper in For Whom The Bell Tolls.

The measure of your character isn't what you do when people are watching- it's what you do when they aren't watching.

Don't 307s do something like that when the battery gets weak? A single 'bong' with no warning message? Although that might be only when the ignition is first switch on...

Anyway, can't hurt to check battery voltage!

    Cheers

I studied JD and other metaphysical poets solely out of personal interest.

An interest that was sparked by a teacher in 8th grade. Mr Hewitt was an old style English teacher who would not compromise on his teaching "values".

He would be turning in grave at 1000RPM to see the text speak and loss of effective language skills many have today. Just my opinion. of course.

I couldn't agree with you more about our declining ability to converse in English. The speeches of Winston Churchill were a great example of the power of words to provoke imagery and at the same time rouse and rally his people.
