    Default BX Sauvage

Another post on this forum got me wondering if anyone owns a BX Sauvage. Does anyone own one or used to own one? Some pictures would be great.

For those unfamiliar with the BX Sauvage, it was an Australian creation of a BX TRI with a front and rear spoiler, later BX alloy wheels and special badging saying "Sauvage".

Amazing. Though I'm not sure if it's correct to have a GT badge on it unless there was a GT version too

"Sauvage" was actually first a body kit marketed as an accessory in Europe for the series 1, including a deep angular front bumper, front and rear wheel arch flares, and other bits. There was a silver series one with the kit in Brisbane at one stage - unfortunately the front bumper got damaged and had to be replaced with an aluminium bar.
I have only ever seen one Australian Sauvage in Brisbane - a white one with leather seats, though there may well have been more..

I had a 1989 BX Tri with some of the Sauvage trimmings but no stickers.

I recall hearing somewhere years ago when I had a BX, that there were only about 12 of them.

There was a red one in Mount Lawley in Perth in the 1990s - I used to pass it every day dropping my daughter at school.

I remember working on a dark blue one a few years ago... Took it for a roadworthy and the bloke who did the list on it thought it would be funny to write it out as a make; citrus, model; sausage... Other than stickers I can't remember anything else different.

    Hi m-2975,
We owned a BX19GT Sauvage some years ago. It was a nice car and looked striking. We had it for some years and sold it to a person in Sydney.
I will dig up some photos and details. However it was a carby model not a TRI.

    Hi
I am still looking for some photos. However the car in this photo on Fliker was actually our car previously. The photo was taken in 2009 by the label, which was a couple of years after we sold it to a Sydney person.
The Sauvage kit was the dress-up red toutches, names and pin stripes which really set off the silver blue paint colour. A 1986 model. It was at a Sydney French car day when the theme was BXs if anyone has photos of that or knows the actual year and date ? About 2005 !

    Found one so far!
