    Default Model specific sub forum??????

I see that the boys in the Renault forum are trialling a Model specific sub forum.
How about consideration for a similar approach on the Citroen Forum??????????

Whirlpool forums have a pull down "sub group" feature. So if you are for example in mobile phone carriers they are all jumbled together. But if you want to just see Optus related posts that can be filtered. Just not sure how or who tags posts with the sub group.

If anybody remembers the young Gilbert that came across the 2CV in Paris last year (by the by, upon their return I've found out that the photo was actually [taken in Berlin but held back and sent to us when in Paris); he turns 3 this year.

Young Gilbert is very good with "I don't think so!" He got that from Grandma.]

So, to use Gilbert's saying; I don't think so.

I like / enjoy / reading / learning Citroen - no need to sub devide into umpteen subforums. If the Thread subject is of no interest so be it; it goes no further.

I think if we do have a sub-forum for Citroen, it should be The Models that Model Citroen. A collection of scantily clad ladies with some Citroen in the picture would qualify for inclusion.

There are times when one writes and reads of the mechanical, electrical and hydraulic problems which beset our cars and leave use feeling absolutely rooted. Sometimes it would be good to flip to the above mentioned sub-forum to reorientate oneself.

I think a beard grooming subforum is called for, surely.

My leather care posts already should take care of the cardigan elbow patches.

More seriously, If something can be done to stitch the Search function back together that surely has more worth than splitting forums by model.

It will be interesting to see what reaction occurs to this proposal in the Renault Forum. Obviously it is meeting with some resistance here!
An improved search function would be of great benefit! It takes an age to find anything that has been written on TA and even GS, whereas D, 2CV, and CX stuff abounds!

Pulldown filter function I'm rooting for. Then the choice is the users. The positives of the current setup is you can see problems with other Cit models..keywords "octopus" "AL4" "C5" "DS rust" etc... :-)

Agree that the search function is a piece of sh@$. It makes no sense to me at all and defeats one of the main purposes of the forum, to collect useful information to share with others who need similar guidance . I think sub categories would make it easier to research particular model trends etc...

In theory. But you only need to look at how much is already mis-posted or barely appropriate, yet remains where it was placed.

Hello, leave it alone please. The UK Citroen Car Club forum is split into model types, some haven't had a post for months, this puts of further posts. I like to read other models trials and tribulations, partly to feel smug but mainly to learn. Search function isn't much cop though.

That pic would be a perfect (G-rated!!!) caption contest.
The measure of your character isn't what you do when people are watching- it's what you do when they aren't watching.

PS: Young Gilbert did not have to think very hard on that occasion. Whilst he had never seen a 2CV; boy, does he know the ''Double Chevron".

He now has his own diecast 1/48 2CV and just by chance same colour.

Had I thought about it, we should had taken him to the CCCV outing on Sunday. Would have made his day!
