    I just stumbled over a reference to the CX on the autobody forum and thought I probably should list some of the stuff I've broken then attempted to fix on this car over the years

    There is one unalterable rule with all mechanical contraptions and that is that anything you do never gets you ahead,it only (if you are lucky) gets you back to where you should be anyway.

    You know I would only need to repair one tiny dent in the back where I backed into a (below boot level ) pole in a carpark in tassie.... and the front edge of the bonnet where it's slightly marked.... and I could probably just scuff the entire car flat, spray it with an isolator and re-coat with two pack to get a finish like this ....







    Rather than the aged and faded acrylic laquer that was applied in the thread above.... I'd probably get another 10years before a bare metal respray was needed then (after all there is only the skuffed back heavily factory paint and the single paint job I did years ago on there). So the paint build shouldn't be huge and unsound ).

    The only thing that stops me is time and money .... and of course, time and money
